  • 7 tbsp cold butter (100 g)

  • 2 tbsp cornstarch (30 g)

  • 1 1/4 cups milk (300 ml)

  • 3 apples

  • 1/4 cup apricot jam (60 g)

Directions

  • Prepare the dough: In a bowl, mix flour, powdered sugar, and salt. Add egg yolk and cold butter, and mix until a dough forms. Chill for 15 minutes.
  • Bake the cake at 180°C (355°F) for 15 minutes.
  • Make the cream: In a saucepan, whisk egg, sugar, vanilla, cornstarch, and milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thick.
  • Assemble the tart: Roll out the dough and place it in a greased tart pan. Add the cream and arrange sliced apples on top.
